11 Biggar Ramblers met at Central Station for a leisurely walk along the Clyde to the Transport Museum, where we stopped to have our picnic lunch. From there, we went over the new bridge from Partick into Govan and paid a visit to Govan Old Church where the well-informed volunteers told of the history of the Viking and Celtic stones held within the church. Having completed almost five miles on a hot day, it was decided to head to the Underground to take us back to the city centre and the return train journey.
